Sorry, this item has sold.

For sale is a beautiful and fully-restored Florence Knoll Partners Desk and/or Executive Desk in Rosewood, circa 1960s.

OVERVEW: Introduced in 1961, the Knoll Partners Desk / Executive Table was endlessly refined to achieve simple, seemingly effortless beauty...and despite being conceived for the office, this desk has found itself repurposed into an elegant dining table throughout many dining rooms over the last fifty years. The design is so timeless, Knoll reintroduced it in 2014 with the rosewood model now retailing jut north of $11k.

Retaining its original label with the 320 Park Ave address, Knoll Associates became Knoll International in 1969 and moved to 745 Fifth Ave in 1970…dating this desk/table to sometime in the 1960s. Additionally, this stunning piece came from the office of an executive of GTE (old telecom company) on the east coast who eventually finished his career with Boeing in Seattle.

CONDITION: Recently restored with keen attention paid to every detail of this exquisite piece; you'll be hard-pressed to find another first generation rosewood partners desk in better condition anywhere. The top has just been professionally restored and finished with a protective alkyd coating that includes a UV-absorber for both protection against general usage and sun fading so it'll last another 60+ years with its lovely sheen fully in-tact.

The rectangular rosewood top has two shallow drawers on each side, each retaining the original Knoll pencil trays, drawer dividers and removable white writing boards shown in the photos...it literally has everything going for it. The piece is supported by the chrome-plated, X-shaped pedestal base signature to Knoll pieces. The chrome does has some minor surface pitting and scuffs throughout, only noticeable upon extremely close inspection (in my opinion).

GOODS/BADS: The rosewood top base is absolutely breathtaking, I've included photos in numerous lights/settings to give you an idea of just how nice it is. And in addition to the chrome as noted above, the top has three faint dents as shown. Again, only noticeable upon very close inspection...we're all to be so lucky to look this good after 60+ years (again, in my opinion...LOL).

DIMENSIONS: 72" long x 38" wide x 28.25" high

SHIPPING: As the weight of this piece is quite heavy (approx. 200lbs), so I've already checked with my shipping company and they suggest it ship as two pieces then reattached upon delivery...attaching the top/base actually isn't too difficult and I'll label everything for you. Shipping via my people will be around $400 anywhere within the lower-48, but please contact me for an exact quote. I sell and ship much mid-century modern furniture nationwide from my home showroom in Seattle so I'll coordinate all shipping logistics on my end if you'd like...my shipping company specializes in furniture transportation and individually wrap/unwrap each piece for the utmost protection.
