Restored Drexel Declaration extendable dining set (table and eight chairs)

JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS...for sale is this exceptional rectangular Drexel Declaration walnut dining table beautifully matched with eight matching Drexel Declaration chairs. Circa 1960s, I've restored many mid-century dining sets over the years and this pairing may be the epitome of American design and attention to detail...it's absolutely gorgeous and would be a beautiful table situation for your family/guests to gather around the next 30+ years - especially rare with eight chairs too!

OVERVIEW: This extendable walnut beauty is of the utmost quality and once again in pristine condition after being recently restored. It now exudes that wonderful warm, "honey walnut" glow and has just been refinished so it now exudes a beautiful sheen throughout. Closely inspect the pictures and you'll also notice the beautiful tabletop wood-graining all the way from one end to the other...they certainly don't make furniture of this quality anymore.

SIZE/DIMENSIONS: The scale of this dining table would be best suited for medium-to-larger dining spaces. It is 60" x 40" at is smallest, then extends to 82" (with one leaf inserted) or a whopping 104" when fully extended with both leaves - that's easily enough for 8, maybe 10 people even! Normal dining table height, 29.5" high.

CONDITION: I've restored numerous midcentury sets over the years and this one is one of the most exquisite and highest-quality craftsmanship, and overall condition. It's just been lovingly restored/reconditioned so it now exudes a beautiful satin sheen with that lovely warm walnut glow to showcase the beautiful old-growth woodgrain throughout. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that I've addressed but still remain...you'd be hard pressed to see anything as its in pristine condition once again. It presents beautifully overall.

Keen attention was paid to lovingly bring this beauty back to life with a complete restorative overhaul and protective period-correct finish/coating so it'll last for another 30+ years of dining. This table now presents beautifully and is a high-quality piece of MCM furniture.

CHAIRS: Well-known for their sculptural mid-century styling combined with nice lumbar support/comfort - all eight chairs have been lovingly restored and now in gorgeous condition, waiting for another 30+ years of gracious family gathering. The overall craftsmanship and sculptural elegance/comfort of these beauties is second to none...and checkout the wonderful frames, simply gorgeous! All have been upholstered in a lovely black leatherette/vinyl that goes quite lovely with the chair frames.
