For sale is this Eames lounge chair and ottoman by Herman Miller (model 670/671) in classic black leather and restored walnut shells. Introduced in 1956 and still in production today, its stylish and comfortable too. Original Herman Miller labeling stamped 2003 so it's now of legal drinking age too. Keen attention was paid to every detail of its restoration so it's now in wonderful condition once again, certain to be the focal point of your space. These are so rewarding and satisfying to resurrect, not to mention comfortable while watching football, movies, happy hour, etc.
CONDITION: I've restored many Eames loungers over the years, and this one is once again beautiful after just undergoing careful restoration. Mindful attention was paid to get this one back in top shape with: all the walnut shells restored to showcase the wonderful walnut woodgrain, aluminum bases/sliders repolished to shine brightly once again, shockmounts tested and main bushing checked verifying it is very sturdy/solid.
The black leather cushions have just been conditioned with the same leather products used by vintage Ferrari owners wanting to retain their leather interiors in concours d'elegance condition, with them showing just the right amount of original and classic wear so they're nicely broken in (and much more comfortable than newer Eames loungers' stiffer cushions). Lastly, shockmounts have been stress tested and are very solid (a very common frailty of Eames chairs) too, I'm 6'3" 235lbs and the chair supports me just fine during my morning coffee sessions - quality control purposes you know!
This one is certain to be the focal point of your living space. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that I've addressed/blended so you'd be hard-pressed to notice, but I mention it for full transparency. It presents beautifully overall, and these vintage Eames are always prized.
