Newly-restored Peter Lovig teak "flip-top" partners desk

Sorry, this item has sold.

For sale is this beautiful and iconic "flip-top" (aka partners desk) by Peter Lovig Nielson, made in Denmark. I've refinished many MCM pieces throughout the years and this desk turned out absolutely beautiful. If you're looking for classic/vintage midcentury styling yet something clever and unique for the next 30+ years of closing deals in your office...this one is for you!

OVERVIEW: This beauty has an ingenious and versatile design with the back letter/storage area that cleverly flips down via just-polished brass hinges to expand the desktop surface area, so it can be used facing a wall/window or floated in a room to accommodate people on the other side (aka partner desk style) if desired. Four cubby spaces/slots for additional storage, and four pullout drawers in front provide ample storage throughout. One drawer has a lock but the key is unfortunately no longer with us (could have one made I suppose), bottom is stamped Peter Lovig.

CONDITION: It's in near-pristine condition after being fully restored, exuding that wonderful warm teak-toned glow and satin sheen throughout. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that I've addressed but still remain. The area underneath the flipped-up section has been color-matched to blend with the main desktop section coloring but is just a tad lighter, pretty typical for not being exposed to light over the years and not really noticeable. Most people won’t even notice this but since I restore much MCM furniture, I’m uber picky and notice things most people do not. Overall, it presents beautifully though.

DIMENSIONS: 64" wide x 29" deep x 29" high (38" deep when cubby section is flipped-down)

SHIPPING is NOT FREE NOR $0.01 so please contact me with your zip code for an exact quote prior to ordering. Etsy's shipping system isn't setup for larger/furniture shipments so please contact me prior to your purchase as shipping costs/times vary on your specific location. I sell and ship much mid-century modern furniture nationwide from my home showroom in Seattle so I'll coordinate all shipping logistics on my end if you'd like...I use shipping companies that specialize in furniture transportation and individually wrap/unwrap each piece for the utmost protection. Shipments usually go out 2-4 weeks of ordering but shipping times aren't always exact so some flexibility is required. Free local pickup in the Seattle area too, or you can arrange you're own shipping if you'd like.

QUESTIONS: Happy to answer any questions and send additional photos, if needed. My hope is to provide as much detail/images so there are no surprises upon delivery.
