Vintage Eames cherry lounge chair and ottoman by Herman Miller, circa 2001

The most iconic chair ever produced needs little introduction, for sale is this Eames lounge chair and ottoman by Herman Miller (model 670/671) in stunning black leather and wonderful cherry shells. Introduced in 1956 and still in production today, its stylish and comfortable too. Cherry is no longer even offered by Herman Miller so its quite unique too.

OVERVIEW: Eames loungers are timeless pieces that are part work of art, part livable investment and part functional furniture ready to enjoy while lounging/viewing for the next 30+ years, then pass onto the next generation for their enjoyment. This Eames lounger features cherry shells with black leather cushions, with original Herman Miller labels and stamped May 2001 so its now of legal drinking age too.

CONDITION: I've restored many Eames loungers over the years and rarely see them in as excellent original/timecapsule condition as this one. All the cherry wood shells have just been reconditioned to exude a wonderful luster, metal sliders (i.e. Domes of Silence) are in-tact and base pedestal bushings are sturdy/solid (ie. no wobbles). The black leather cushions are also in brilliant condition, as I have just conditioned them with the same leather products used by vintage Ferrari owners wanting to retain their leather interiors in concours d'elegance condition. Keen attention was paid to every detail of its restoration so its now in absolutely gorgeous condition, certain to be the focal point of your living space. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that I've addressed/blended so you'd be hard-pressed to even notice, but I mention it for full transparency. It presents beautifully overall.

RESTORATION HIGHLIGHTS AND BACKGROUND STORY: This particular lounger/ottoman was purchased directly from an avid Seattle-area Eames collector who sparingly used it in his study and kept it in fantastic condition until I recently acquired it...so its in wonderful timecapsule condition you could say!
