For sale is this magnificent "rectangular-ish" dining table with some of the finest Danish craftsmanship seen in all my tenure of restoring vintage furniture. Circa 1960s, I've refinished many Danish teak tables over the years and this table is stunning...it's absolutely gorgeous and would be a beautiful table for your family to gather around. Best of all, closely inspect the pictures to notice the beautiful book-matched wood graining tabletop meaning one congruent woodgrain pattern all the way from one end to the other.
TABLE DETAILS: This "nearly-rectangular" teak dining table is quite unique/different than most with its slightly curved rectangular shape, tapered legs and 1.5" thick tabletop edge that completely encases the concealed leaves underneath (like a lid); in short, its unique with the utmost quality and in pristine condition after being recently restored. This is Danish quality and styling at its finest, and I suspect its designed/made by well-known Danish manufacturer Henning Kjaernulf but its not marked so I cant say with certainty.
CONDITION: I've restored numerous teak pieces over the years and this one is one of the most exquisite and highest quality craftsmanship, deep-and-dark old-growth teak coloring and overall condition. Its just been lovingly restored/reconditioned in so it now exudes a beautiful sheen with that lovely warm teak glow to showcase the beautiful old-growth teak wood-grain throughout. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that I've addressed but this one turned out pristine. It presents beautifully overall.
TABLE SIZE/DIMENSIONS: The scale of this dining table would be best suited for medium-to-larger sized dining spaces. It is 55.25" x 36" with two 22.5" concealed leaves neatly stored under the tabletop so it quickly expands to 77.75" long (with one leaf extended) or 100.5" when both leaves are expanded - enough for 8-10 people. Normal dining table height, 29.25" high.
