Restored mid-century walnut credenza/dresser by John Kapel for Glenn of California - 72" long

ON HOLD FOR NATE (10-14-22): Epic. If there's one word to describe this extra-long, eight-drawer walnut credenza/sideboard/buffet/dresser designed by John Kapel for Glenn of California that would be it...epic. In all my years of restoring mid-century furniture, this is the first/only Kapel eight-drawer case piece I've had the privilege of resurrecting. Could be used within a bedroom as a dresser for clothes, or within your main living space as entertainment center/credenza its that versatile.

OVERVIEW: Circa 1960s, this “epic” dresser is certain to be the aesthetic focal point of your space - its absolutely gorgeous and one of the nicest MCM pieces I've ever restored...the craftsmanship is superb. Its beautifully-grained walnut doors with elegant sculptural handles each feature horizontal ebony bakelite slat details nicely complimenting the black arched base. Loads of internal storage too as the eight drawers feature internal sections, each with dividers/sections in each drawer. Woodtone/coloring on this one is a "reddish walnut" and could even be construed as looking like teak or mahogany...in short, its quite versatile!

OVERALL CONDITION: Recently restored and given a new protective finish to both protect this beauty for the next 30+ years and give it a lovely, period-correct satin sheen. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that I have already blended/addressed (including a veneer repair on the right-hand side, please see photos) - you'll be hard pressed to see these imperfections but I mention it for transparency. Its now in brilliant condition and presents beautifully overall.

I sell and ship much mid-century modern furniture nationwide from my home showroom in Seattle so I'll coordinate all shipping logistics on my end if you'd like...I use shipping companies that specialize in furniture transportation and individually wrap/unwrap each piece for the utmost protection. Shipments usually go out monthly but shipping times aren't always exact so some delivery flexibility is required. Free local pickup in the Seattle area too, or you can arrange you're own shipping.
