I am extremely proud to offer this fine Eames lounge chair and ottoman by Herman Miller (model 670/671) in classic black leather and Brazilian Rosewood for sale, as its been a "restoration labor of love" for me...see below for why. Introduced in 1956 and still in production today, its stylish and comfortable too. Keen attention was paid to every detail of its restoration so its now in absolutely gorgeous condition, certain to be the focal point of whatever space its situated into.

OVERVIEW: This Eames lounger (labels dated September 22, 1980) features Brazilian Rosewood shells (all matched/marked #202) with brand-new black leather cushions and rubber shockmounts. The usage of Brazilian Rosewood was banned in the early 1990s, making rosewood models more rare and highly sought-after as they're no longer being produced...the amazing woodgraining on these rosewood shells are what sets this chair apart, the wild and unique pattern across the back panels is simply gorgeous. This one is so stellar it should really be considered part investment, part lovely/functional furniture ready to enjoy while lounging for the next 30+ years, then pass onto the next generation for their enjoyment.

CONDITION: The entire chair has just been meticulously gone over, with the rosewood shells being reoiled/conditioned to exude their lustrous sheen and aluminum bases/accents polished to shine brightly once again. All metal sliders (i.e. Domes of Silence) are in-tact and base pedestal bushings are sturdy/solid (ie. no wobbles).

LEATHER, SHOCKMOUNTS and SHELLS: The black leather cushions have all just been replaced with new full-grain aniline black leather, and foam cushions underneath. All four shockmounts have just been replaced as well (a very common frailty of older Eames chairs), I'm 6'3" 225lbs and the chair has been very solid during my quality-control lounging sessions.

RESTORATION HIGHLIGHTS AND BACKGROUND STORY: This particular chair was pretty dilapidated and sat in the corner of a basement when I got it...the leather was thrashed and shockmounts detached after the owners' friend carelessly "plopped down" in it (non-sober) thus snapping the left-rear wing...and why you always ease yourself into an Eames lounger! That rear wing was just professionally repaired and color-matched so you'd barely know it was fixed but I mention it for full transparency and a fun story to share with your chair please, practice safe drinking and lounging!!! It's now ready to go again for another lifetime of relaxation.

DIMENSIONS: 35" high x 31" wide x 32" deep ; seat height is 15" from floor.
