Extra-long Danish teak sideboard/credenza by Peter Lovig Nielsen for Dansk (79" long)

For sale is this extra-long and magnificent tambour-door teak credenza/sideboard from Peter Lovig Nielsen for Dansk, circa 1960s. This sideboard has amazing construction and ample storage that embodies the classic mid-century, Danish modern piece of furniture/art and is sure to grace your home with elegance for the next 30+ years as it could be used as a sideboard, credenza or entertainment center below a flat-screen TV. The back of the piece is finished in lovely teak as well, so it could be 'floated' within your space too...very versatile!

OVERVIEW: The two large sliding tambour doors in front feature metal-inlay handles smoothly slide open to reveal three ample storage sections: the center area five internal shelves (two are lined in green felt) and can be adjusted to store things like glassware, and three adjustable internal shelves within the outer sections that can also be removed should you want to conceal larger/taller items like electronics, bottles, etc. The entire piece sits on an expertly crafted sculptural legs, and has a subtle bordering inset on each end...minor subtle touches showcasing the top Danish craftsmanship of this exquisite piece.

CONDITION: I've restored numerous teak dressers, credenzas and sideboards over the years and this one ranks right up there in terms of quality craftsmanship, deep-and-dark old-growth teak coloring and overall condition. Its just been restored and given a protective coating to protect this beauty for the next 50+ years and give it that lovely warm teak glow to showcase the beautiful old-growth teak woodgrain throughout. It presents beautifully overall, and the natural translucency of the old-growth teak is amazing!
