RESERVED FOR SARAH (6-28-22) For sale is this magnificent Brazilian Rosewood expandable mid-century dining table with two expansion leaves by well-known design Johannes Andersen by Uldum Mobelfabrik. Circa 1960s and just lovingly restored back to pristine condition, normally Danish dining tables are made of teak so this is indeed unique being its made of rosewood so its both quite stunning and unique. The usage of Brazilian Rosewood was banned in the early 1990s, making rosewood furniture in-general more rare and highly sought-after as they're no longer being produced...and would be a beautiful table for your family/guests to gather around for the next 30+ years

OVERVIEW: This "rectangular-ish" beauty (i.e. rectangular shaped with rounded corners) is not your average dining table...rather part functional furniture and part work of art. Circa 1960s, this is one of the nicest I've ever completed...the rich-and-dark rosewood is absolutely gorgeous and would be a beautiful table for your family/guests to gather around for the next 30+ years, then pass along to the next generation for their enjoyment too.

SIZE/DIMENSIONS: The scale of this dining table would be best suited for medium-to-larger dining spaces. It is 63" x 37" at is smallest, then extends to a whopping 104" when fully extended with the two 20.5" extension leaves - that's enough for 8-10 people! Both leaves include that thick/matching table apron with the main table for nice continuity. Table height is 28.5" high - and checkout those unique exposed legs, quite lovely and unique (I've never seen this leg design before)! Legs simply unscrew for transport/moving.

CONDITION: I've restored numerous rosewood pieces over the years and this one is one of the most exquisite and highest quality craftsmanship, deep-and-dark old-growth rosewood coloring and overall condition. Its just been lovingly restored/reconditioned in so it now exudes a beautiful sheen with that lovely warm rosewood glow to showcase the beautiful wood-grain throughout. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that I've addressed but this one came out pristine. Overall, it presents beautifully.
