ON-HOLD FOR OLIVIA (3-6-22): The most iconic chair ever produced needs little introduction, for sale is this Eames lounge chair and ottoman by Herman Miller (model 670/671) in upgraded black leather and wonderful cherry shells. Introduced in 1956 and still in production today, its stylish and comfortable too.
OVERVIEW: This Eames lounger features cherry shells with black leather cushions. I've restored many Eames loungers over the years and have never seen another in as good original/timecapsule condition!
CONDITION: All metal sliders (i.e. Domes of Silence) are in-tact and base pedestal bushings are sturdy/solid (ie. no wobbles). The black leather cushions are in excellent and original condition, with a minimal amount of "lived-in" patina/wear. And leather is the upgraded leather direct from Herman Miller, I'm unsure of the name they use for it but I've restored many Eames loungers over the years and can verify its much softer/supple than the standard black leather...its like butta! Haha.
RESTORATION HIGHLIGHTS AND BACKGROUND STORY: This particular chair was purchased directly from the original owner, who worked at the Herman Miller store in Seattle and bought it when she worked there in the 1990s. She rarely sat in it herself, mostly used as decoration in their living room until I acquired it...so its in wonderful timecapsule condition you could say!
DIMENSIONS: 35" high x 31" wide x 32" deep ; seat height is 15" from floor.
